By downloading, installing, or using Avaan ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Software.
2. Free Tier
Avaan offers unlimited free local transcription using on-device models. No account or payment is required for the free tier. You may use local transcription features on any number of devices you own or control.
3. Pro Subscription
Pro subscription unlocks cloud transcription models, cross-device sync, and priority support. Subscriptions are billed monthly ($7.99/month) or annually ($79.99/year) and will automatically renew unless cancelled. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard.
5. Privacy and Data
On-device transcription is processed locally on your Mac and no audio data is sent to our servers. Cloud transcription features (Pro only) require sending audio to third-party AI services. See our Privacy Policy for more details on data handling.
6. Intellectual Property
Avaan and all related trademarks, logos, and intellectual property are owned by us. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Software without our express written permission.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Software will be error-free, secure, or meet your specific requirements. Transcription accuracy may vary depending on audio quality and other factors.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Software.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Software. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
